The Final Version: "Let It Reign"!
There was some last minute mixing on this song before the final version of the album was released. It is an 'orchestral' piece, the arrangement created by a film score award-winner!
Mike put in some piano, more horns were added and the vocals were 'cleaned up' a bit, AND? voila! What sounds like a masterpiece to me! We just love the back-and-forth interplay between Mark & Mike singing, and it sounds like it belongs in a classic movie.
It also seems to be a thematic capstone of the whole album. It is the answer to the longings of the listener; the 'Place to go where joy will overflow', the answer is the Living Waters coming from the Heart of Jesus, given to us from the altar. Some have noticed a prophetic element related to the trials the church and the world are going through. That may be so. All I know, is what Mike said, "this is DEFinitely a Living Waters song'!!
